Configuring Single Sign-on

Single Sign-on allows Portfolio client users to automatically connect to Portfolio without needing to log in. Their network credentials are used to connect them to their Portfolio catalogs.

For more information, see the Knowledge Base Article Setting up Single Sign-On for Portfolio.

Single Sign-on requirements

In order to successfully use Single-Sign on with Portfolio, you need the following:

  • A license for the Portfolio Single Sign-on add-on;

  • Portfolio running on a Windows Server in an Active Directory environment that supports Kerberos 5 as an AD user;

  • A Service Principal Name (SPN) that has been configured for Portfolio and for a domain account (the SPN account does not need to be the same account that Portfolio runs under);

  • Domain user accounts imported into Portfolio;

  • Mac client systems must be joined to the Windows domain.

To enter Single Sign-on credentials:

  1. Click Global Settings, then click Single Sign-on Credentials.

  2. Enter the Account and Password for the Service Principal Name.

  3. Click Apply.
