Searching for assets

QuickFind

To quickly find assets, type one or more search terms in the QuickFind field and press Enter.

By default, QuickFind searches most text fields and text content for all assets in the selected catalog or gallery.

If you enter multiple search terms, QuickFind identifies assets that include any of the terms.

For details on how QuickFind works and how to take full advantage of its capabilities, see QuickFind.

To start Advanced Search, click the icon next to the QuickFind field, enter your search criteria, and click Search.

With Advanced Search, you can specify up to 10 search criteria with different relationships to content, and different intersections between the criteria. For example, you can find assets where:

  • The asset’s filename starts with “alpha”;

  • The filename does not contain “beta”;

  • The asset includes the keyword “gamma”.

You can also save your search criteria as a smart gallery, so the same search can be performed instantaneously, always showing the assets that match those criteria now.

For details on how Advanced Search works and how to leverage its capabilities into your workflow, see Advanced Search.
